S05E19 – Mid-Terms, Daylight Savings, France, and Ilhan Omar

In this rapid-fire episode of Finding Common Battle Grounds, we cover four topics quickly. We start with the mid-term elections. We generally agree Republicans will lose the House and/or the Senate, but we don’t think the blue wave will be as big as some think, as most people are really annoyed with Democrats and Republicans right now. We discuss daylight saving time and the fact that everyone wants to change it, but no one seems to be willing to decide what we change it to. We also discuss the protests and riots in France. We disagree a little about the causes and implications there. We also discuss the recent raid on Ilhan Omar, which Josh and Tom think is a big deal, and Ryan dismisses as political shenanigans by the Trump administration.
